Ortisei

The biggest and most mundane Val Gardena ski resort is Ortisei. The Italian royal family, the former president of Georgia, Albert of Monaco and many former Italian presidents spent their South Tyrol holidays here. The musician Giorgio Moroder was also born here in 1941!

This artist now lives in Beverly Hills, CA, and he “signed” many music masterpieces like “Footlose”, “Take my breath away”, the “Scarface” movie, together the Los Angeles and Seul Olympic Games soundtracks. He worked with Cher, Freddy Mercury, Gianna Nannini, Donna Summer, Falco. No wonder that Mr. Moroder was awarded with the title of “Commendatore” of the Italian Republic.
